About Me Personally
Hello, my name is Donna Rogers. I live in a small (but growing), rural town of Whitney, TX. In 1991, My husband of 20 some-odd years and I found a cheap fixer-upper a short walk from beautiful Lake Whitney and decided to pack up the kids (all 5 of them) and move to the country. Here we bought a cheap fixer-upper to call home (a really cheap fixer-upper that we've fixed, re-fixed, remodeled, and re-remodeled ), began a family business, and successfully raised our children into adulthood.
I got my first computer 10 years ago and began concentrating much of my free time learning about computer hardware, different applications, business administration, and some marketing. I LOVE THE INTERNET!! I soon started assisting area businesses, non-profit organizations, and individuals with their computer and administrative needs. I worked for three companies during their 1st year in business – helping out wherever needed and often finding my own replacement. Yes, I even help people find employment, lol. I was a library volunteer for 5 years, where I assisted patrons with research and computer skills, trained and supervised other volunteers, and assisted the library director in whatever manner I could. I spent 4 years as a chatroom hostess where I began virtually assisting people via the chatroom, IM, and sometimes Ma Bell. I love helping others and by helping them I have helped myself.
Now I am starting my own business. My first PR representatives are the ladies I sometimes fill in for at a local office supply and printing store. I get most of my small jobs through them - typing resumes, fixing or setting up computers, tutoring, a few website design projects and hosting . My first clients were the area businesses and non-profit organizations that I've worked for in the past. I currently have 4 clients and make just enough money to supply my 'learning habit', lol. By this time next week I should have Client #5 and be on my way to learning real estate marketing. I can't wait to see what the next few months bring. :-)
